Frequently Asked Questions

A:

Yes, each of the indoor spaces (classroom and social), with the exception

of the Road Show space due to the large size of the room, will have its own HEPA filter running during the entire event. Please let event staff know if you notice the filter light on any of these units flashing red

A:

Yes, there are picnic tables and permanent tables, as well as benches

in the gardens of the Joan Chapel adjacent to our event building, and the weather is expected to be lovely for our event weekend, which should allow for outdoor dining for the Saturday event lunch for those who would prefer to not unmask indoors or who would prefer to eat outdoors for whatever reason.

Q:

Is There Outdoor Eating Space Available for Those Who Are Still Masking Indoors, or Who Prefer to Eat Outside?

A:

Marquette is not far off Lake Michigan, which provides some moderation

of temperatures, but our official weather station at the airport is also not too far from the lake. We expect daytime highs between 70 and 85 F (20 and 30 C), with potential spikes into the low 90's (33ish), and nighttime lows in the upper 60s to low 80s (18-28C). We're a relatively humid climate, and rain is not unusual, but also not constant (last year we had three days of rain in June, and eight days in 2021).

You can see historical data here (in American/F units)
